Need to Raise Finance?
Most business owners recoil at the thought of writing a business plan; we love doing it! If you are looking for any type of finance from loans to investment, you will need a business plan.
We have extensive experience of working with CIC’s and social enterprises and have been successful in achieving grant funding for our clients. We can source relevant grants, advise on writing funding bids, or write them for you.
We also create Pitch Decks, a presentation created to raise venture capital for your business. In order to gain buy-in and drum up financial support from potential investors, these presentations outline everything from
why your business exists, to your business model, progress or milestones, your team, and a call-to-action.If you are looking to work with council or government departments, we can help write bids for tenders and ensure that you are best placed to apply for these opportunities.
Skill Swap
I am a very eager networker. I often informally introduce people to work together and so I decided to formalise the process with skill swap. When I started GetSet almost 20 years ago, I had no money for a website or anything else for that matter. One of my clients was starting a web design business so we decided on a skill swap – he designed my website and I mentored him. Great result for both parties.
More recently I was helping an interior designer set up her business and she had skills gaps in the area of social media so I introduced her to a social media content writer and strategist. They agreed on 3 months of support in return for a free bedroom design! The beauty of these connections is it often leads to further paid work for both parties.
You can join or use the skill swap and still charge for your services as long as they are discounted in some way and once both parties agree on the terms of the swap its down to you. We don't make commission, we simply facilitate the connection.
If you want to be added to our skillswap database please contact us and if you have a particular need, let us know and we will do our best to connect you.
